A Chicken Question for Irish,Uk,USA,Type Persons, Battery,Organic,Free Range?

There was a Survey on RTE Television the Irish Broadcaster on Chicken Preferences and they had Four Types of Cooked Roast Chicken on Plates Labelled ,ABCD and People were Invited to Choose which had the best Taste. They were Battery, Free Range, Free Range Corn Fed, Organic. The Majority thought the Battery Chickens were second best and the best Overall were the Corn Fed free Range Chickens. They liked the Organic Least of all. The Top Chefs and Food Experts were very Surprised at this. What Type do you Prefer and do you notice much difference between them in Taste. Would you care to Respond Please Thank you.
Incidentally I am having Tesco Already Stuffed and Basted and with Herbs Ordinary Chicken and Roasting it at this moment for my Dinner. I find these quite Tasty..

Thanks Lizzie M I looked it up on Delia Smith.
It is amazing how things start going the rounds in different Countries, First Jamie Oliver and other Celeb Chefs in Uk and then People start Talking about the same thing in every Country. The same with TB, Malaria,Autism, Diabetes, What Next, It is like various Governments get together to Brain Wash us all Systematically.
In view of all the Additives being put in Food I am always Interested in Food Surveys to see if People are suffering Allergies and Toxins. Like the Paprika problem for Example some type were Dodgy.

Building Chicken Coops answers:

Well I prefer free range, but its just the quality of the chicken is what I look for. I agree with Delia Smith's views on organic chickens though :P

Helen asks…

Why did Obama go to Ireland to slam back beers in a pub? Why stereotype the Irish? Is he racist?

Why would Obama stereotype the Irish by drinking alcohol? He doesn't think the Irish have anything else to offer, other than slamming down some Guinness?

This would be akin George Bush going to pander to a black neighborhood while eating a bucket of fried chicken.

Why is Barack Hussein Ahmadinejad Marx Hugo Obama stereotyping the Irish?

Building Chicken Coops answers:

Do you have these fits often?
Guinness's' is a major business and exporter in Ireland they were over the moon to have Obama lift a pint. Especially since the Queen last week did the same thing, but didn't drink a bit of it.
Pubs are a way of life in Ireland, England and Scotland too.

Your comment about Bush is pointless. Your nonsense about Obama's name is childish.

Betty asks…

Does the negative stereotype of Irish speakers still exist?

Does the totally false stereotype of native Irish speakers living an 1800s lifestyle, being somewhat naive and having chicken coups built onto their houses still exist in major cities like Dublin?

Building Chicken Coops answers:

I live 20 minutes from Dublin and nope, where I live, no one thinks that way of the natvie Irish speakers! A lot of people have been to the gaeltacht and to Coláistí Samhraidh there so have met native Irish speakers and know how they live! I have great respect for them, keeping the irish language alive. It is a beautiful language that should be more widely spoken in the country!!!

Beatha teanga í a labhairt! :)

Mary asks…

I did a paragraph about irish's food. can you help me by putting it into your own words?

The Irish diet is similar to that of other Northern European nations. There is an emphasis on the consumption of meat, cereals, bread, and potatoes at most meals. Vegetables such as cabbage, turnips, carrots, and broccoli are also popular as accompaniments to the meat and potatoes. Traditional Irish daily eating habits, influenced by a farming ethos, involved four meals: breakfast, dinner, tea, and supper. Roasts and stews, of lamb, beef, chicken, ham, pork, and turkey, are the centerpieces of traditional meals. Fish, especially salmon, and seafood, especially prawns, are also popular meals.

Building Chicken Coops answers:

We also eat pasta, curries, salads, sandwiches, muesli, pizza, bagels, soups etc. Many are vegetarian or vegan. We probably eat the same things you do.

And if you're going to copy and paste a paragraph from the internet, at least put it into your own words yourself.

Nancy asks…

Was obama racist to invite Sgt. Crowley an Irish American over to the white house for a beer?

You know the old" Irish drink too much" thing(not reality) ,Would it be racist of him to invite me over for a "chicken dinner"? Aren't people just overreacting to the whole racist issue?
Was it racist for someone to assume I'm a not a right winger?

Building Chicken Coops answers:

Next he'll be saying "some of my best freinds are typical white people"

Charles asks…

Some irish names for chickens?

Hello!

I got chickens today, but they aren't technically chickens they are chicks. I have 9 of them; I attached the picture. They were only like 2 dollars each, so my dad bought 9. The reason i want irish names is because we got them on St. Patricks day! haha, and DO NOT put names like KFC, or chicken. We are not going to eat them, they are just for eggs.

heres the picture:http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n99/0oXxEmilyxXo0/chickens.jpg

Any names?

And what else can you do with chicks? Can you train them to do things? Like jump through hoops? etc.
I was thinking Seamus?

Pronounced Shae-muss

Building Chicken Coops answers:

I refuse to name my chickens until i get to know their personalities!!! We named a chick rainbow once and it turned out to be a rooster.....cheesy eh?

Jenny asks…

Should Hugh be given the "balls of steel" award for his Chicken Run programme?

What a top effort from a man who went out of his way to help the UK understand a problem that many didn't know existed!

I would like to award the first ever "balls of steel!!!" award to Hugh and his Irish sidekick.

Building Chicken Coops answers:

He's great - and so full of passion on what he was doing. He didn't HAVE to go around the supermarkets and stand there talking to people on the street just to get back a load of ignorance in many cases. Good for him! We've gone free range in our house and we now buy all our meat from a local butcher (they only sell free range from local farms) so it's a double bonus. And all because of that programme.

I was sad to hear that the farmer that did the show with him has been threatened with not being able to work in the UK again because of his involvement in the programme - from other members of the poultry industry. Shows they got something to hide a bit doesn't it?
